RUTO REMOVES CHARGES FOR ID CARDS
In a significant move aimed at improving access to identification documents, President Ruto announced the abolition of fees for obtaining National Identity Cards in Kenya. Previously, Kenyans were required to pay ksh. 300 for a new ID and additional fees for replacement, which was seen as a burden on many families. By abolishing this process, It aims to ensure that all Kenyan citizens are treated equally and can obtain their Identification Cards easily without struggles.
